SPARTANBURG, SC – Willdyne-Chord, a leading provider of inventory and manufacturing management software and services, is pleased to announce it has become a qualified value-added reseller for the Psion line of ADIC products. The addition of Psion hardware, software, and services further expands the depth and breadth of Willdyne’s already extensive portfolio.
Some of the unique capabilities offered by Psion give Willdyne’s customers options for wireless deployments that may not have been available otherwise. Ports, rail yards, and truck yards can leverage narrow-band technology to provide outdoor wireless coverage in a reliable and cost-effective manner. Compared to WiFi, narrow-band requires fewer access points and is less susceptible to reflection interference. Security is assured by means of a proprietary protocol with closed encryption.
Psion’s freezer-ready computers further enhance Willdyne’s position in the food manufacturing and distribution segment by giving the customer the ability to use WCS in sub-zero environments around the clock.
Psion was acquired by Motorola Solutions on October 1, 2012. Reseller access to the Psion product line continues to be separate from the Motorola line, which Willdyne is also pleased to represent.
